    Sears scheduled a service visit between 8-5. Around noon I got a message the tech was on the way. About 3:15pm I messaged the online system regarding the ETA (estimated time of arrival) I was told at 3:15 the tech would be there between 3:07 and 4:45pm. Later I received a message that the tech was delayed, but I was the next customer on the list. Then I received a message saying the tech was there.   • My Tech is Awesome--SEARS SUCKS!!!

    On August 27, I called for service on my Kenmore roof combo heater/AC unit that I bought and had installed from Sears in 2011. The technician came out and was on time and found the issue promptly--I have no issue with my tech whatsoever: he has been the only positive experience I have had. We found that the blower motor had failed and he would need to order a replacement. It was 105 with 80% humidity.   • refrigerator repair

    I had a refrigerator repair yesterday. The technician was competent and all went well, AFAIK. My complaint is about the cost. The labor charge was $200 to install a $20 part, and the total time from when he entered the house to when he left was 30 minutes. That's $400 an hour! Even if there were a one-hour minimum, that's $200/hour. TOO MUCH! I have 40 years of clinical experience as a therapist and Blue Cross reimburses me $88/hour. I think this is gouging the public.   • Sears Refrigerator

    Called Sears Home Service to have repairman come look at refrigerator. Refrigerator keeps developing layer of ice in the bottom of the freezer side in a side by side model. Repairman arrived late. He gave me an estimate of $232 to repair once he diagnosed the problem. The refrigerator was completely empty when he arrived. He removed the shelves which lifted out and removed only three screws. He removed used a tool to lift a layer of ice from the bottom and a layer of ice blocking the drain.   • AC repair - Worst Service Ever

    Went to Sears Home Service for AC repair. Had 3 different technicians out on 3 different days. All had no idea what the other tech had seen or planned to do. Finally they arrived to repair a coil, and then told me (after 3 prior visits) that there was addtional work and would cost an extra $1000 on top of the agreed estimate. When I phone to complain, got a call center who couldn't/wouldn;t transfer me to a supervisor. And at the end of a call they had the audacity to try sell me a new system even after they hadn't fixed the problem! Pathetic and they should be embarassed. What a... More...

  • Sears Serta "Firm" Mattress

    This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. I ordered a Serta mattress from Sears in October 2012. My husband has a really bad back and can only sleep on a firm mattress. Immediately after we got this mattress we realized it wasn't a firm mattress at all. My husbands back problems were getting worse and anytime I l moved on the mattress his back would hurt as it had a wave effect to his side of the mattress, clearly not a firm mattress. We kept it in the plastic wrapping and contacted Sears for a return. I contacted Sears and they told me I could return it and to wait for an email confirming a pick up date for the mattress....   • Kenmore Elite Broken Washer

    This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. After my ordeal with your service department today on appliances that I have extended contracts on, Refrigerator and washer, I can say that I will never buy another Sear%u2019s Appliance or renew a Sear%u2019s warranty contract. I use to believe that your service was the best. Today that proved to be a thing of the past. The reason that I purchase Sear%u2019s Appliances was because of your service.   • Ice Maker - not working

    Call Sears Home Services SHS to repair ice maker in Kenmore Fridge (model 10656536400). Tech arrived and on 5-3-12 and replaced I.M. module and water filter and told my wife that there was a problem with the water supply and to call a plumber. He then left after charging her $410 and the ice maker still is not functioning. I checked the water supply - took all of 5 mins, and it was perfect. I've called SHS to complain and they told me all they could do was send out another tech. and charge us for a service call - which looking at my previous bill is $206.80. Fat chance - I am done...
